The latest issue of Dengeki Nintendo magazine has announced that they will be revealing a new Pokemon game in their next issue to be released in May. No other information was revealed such as what system the game will be released on. Perhaps it’ll be the first Pokemon game for the Nintendo 3DS? Pokemon Snap 3DS!?! That would be awesome actually. @__@
Here’s my theory based on Japanese release dates…
2010: Pokemon Black & White
2011: Spin-off games
2012: Pokemon “Grey”
2013: Ruby & Sapphire remake
2014: 6th generation Pokemon games!
I personally think it’s too early for any announcement of the third Pokemon Black and White game so it’ll probably be some Pokemon spin-off game such as Pokemon Mystery Dungeon or Pokemon Ranger… *shrudders* We’ll just have to wait until next month to find out!

Is it just me or was black and white the best version with graphic and detail. The only problem i had with the version was the pokemon in it. Yes, I’m going to be the bad guy and say it woobat,swoobat,and a few others i wont name i just felt like they focused more on the graphics than main reason we all play the game. With all due respect, you shouldn’t say that they were terrible. Genwar people either attack pokemon for being too simple, no effort; or the flipside, too overdesigned, no imagination. Or “it’s just an animal”. The nature of these designs has been present since Kanto. Ditto is too simple. Rhyhorn is too overdesigned. Squirtle is just an animal.
Pokemon is a franchise spanning over a decade and a half now. Kids who got Red and Blue are now in their late college years or even have their own families at this point. Gen Wars are literally that – not so much a comparison of the games by generation, but between every wave of children that picked up a different game as their first version of Pokemon and bonded to that. As such, there might be a bunch of 30 year olds who just caught the tail end of RBY trying to argue with people half their age that only just hopped on to the train with Black and White. What they should do for the next generation is create a massive online competition where people from around the world can send in pictures of their designs then they can pick a certain number of the best ones to put in the gen 6 pokedex, i mean, how many pokefans have NEVER created their own pokemon? I Agree but thats not really why i think it failed. Comparing it to soul silver or heart gold black and white was HORRIBLE i loved soul silver because it had more things to do AFTER you beat the game the thing about pokemon is that its the same over and over but with soul silver there was more you could do. (there wasn’t alot) but there was more. it was because there was two regions and you had to get 16 badges . i wish they would use the 3ds as GIFT with the 3ds you can totally expand the possability with pokemon and make it a role playing game with more regions and options to become good or evil. The GBC games had a tendency to lose their game save states after a while. So I don’t see how someone could be depressed about merely losing their shinies in G/B/C because they couldn’t trade them over to R/S/E. Your red Gyarados with special EVs is actually not worth the worrying. (and by the way, effort values also were changed from GSC to RSE, further complicating a possible GSC -> RSE trading system)
And they didn’t come out with Pal Park until generation 4, when the DS and its Dual Slot feature actually made it possible.

Not to be a kill joy, but from a commercial standpoint, a game with too many regions in it would be counter-productive, since while it would be very well sold, it would decrease the demand of the other games with one or 2 regions. I personally think that they should do a remake of ruby and sapphire, with the battle frontier, but make it possible to get a lot of kanto/johto pokemon. And, unlike emerald, make it easier to get another generation’s starter pokemon, since catching all 200 hoenn pokemon is just too much…

Walking with pokemon was one of my favourite things and it makes it feel more personal in your experience as you get to see your pokemon evolve, and grow up as you raise them! The new gen pokemon would have looked awesome following you because of the new graphics but it would have been troubling to do 4 sprites for each pokemon as the go over skyarrow bridge!

I really hope they make RS remakes. Generation III was the generation I came into Pokemon. When I had a level 80 Groudon, a level 60 something Blaziken, the Regis, and lots of other cool Pokemon, it just froze out of nowhere when the game was loading, and deleted itself. I stopped playing the game for about a year, and then I tried again, and got even further in the game than before. Battle Revolution really links to the main games, since you can use any Pokemon in your party or PC, and you can unlock and buy Pokemon and items and send them to your games. That’s how I got my Electivire, Magmortar, and Surfing Pikachu.

I would hope that this is a legitimate picture. If it is, I have this to say: I would be happy with a “battle revolution” remake. It would give us all a chance to see the pokemon in a different style.
I would be dissapointed if it was a ranger or mystery dungeon game, cause I never really got too into them. I would like a mystery dungeon game more than ranger though, cause at least I can gain levels and actually keep the pokemon I collect.
I would be content with a remake of BW. It would be in 3d and give us a chance to see some interesting graphics, and maybe even some of the pokemon that werent released in BW.
I would have very mixed feelings about a RSE remake. I played all three, and actually kinda liked Emerald. But that set of games was my least favorite. mainly due to the extreme amount of water you have to go through. But at the same time, it was a good way to level up. Anyway, It would have to be more like Emerald then like Ruby or Sapphire. Just because Emerald had more of a storyline.

I remember Pinball! I never had it, but my brother’s friend lent it to us for a bit. It was fun. I remember the Sableye, and those Duskull, and that Dusclops, back when I never would have imagined another evolution for it, let alone a 4th generation, seeing as I didn’t even know the difference between old Pokemon and new Pokemon at that time. By the way, the first Pokemon I ever played was Emerald. Again, it wasn’t mine, but my other friend lent it to me for a while. He had a high level Pikachu, because he didn’t know what “level” it evolved.

Nope. My least favourite because it was quite small and boring. I shouldn’t complain though because it was also the first region to be made….
My favourite is Sinnoh, then Hoeen. The Unova region was quite small and boring. :/
I liked the Hoenn region because it was a big adventure. The Kanto and Johto regions were ok, but they can’t compare. I was happy with Sinnoh. The design of the Unova region was really complicated. (sarcasm) Also, I miss the VS seeker. In Hoenn, at least you could wait for people to want to battle you. In Unova, most people you battle, you can never battle ever again. Even the Gym Leaders! I was really disappointed when I found out that there were no Gym rematches. The game was a great experience, but after the main story, catching all the legendaries, and capturing all the sages, there isn’t much to do. The cities you go to in the main story are much more exciting than Lacunosa Town, Undella Town, and especially Black City. Village Bridge is about 10 times more exciting than Black City! I mean, what’s the purpose besides battling people with low level Pokemon, and buying very overpriced items? I mean, 50,000 Poke money for a nugget? That’s literally a waste of money, since it sells for only 5,000. 45,000 down the drain!

These are my thougths:
I really liked Emerald WAY more than Ruby/Sapphire so I hope that if they do remake them, it’s basically two different versions of Emerald with version exclusives. (Cause they would never put Kyroge and Groundon in the same game as a remake) :/
I really cannot wait for them to make a Pokemon Grey because I feel like they have set themselves up to make a really amazing storyline and 3rd game.
I loved Pokemon Pinball!! That would be such a fun spin off!!
No matter what, the game that I look forward to the most is the one that has every region, every town, every island, every gym, every elite 4, and every other nook and cranny ever introduced in all of the games…in one. It wouldn’t be a total repeat or a “You are just like that one kid that went through all the exact same stuff a couple of years ago”, but one where they have you do a totally new adventure. I’d love to face Team Rocket, capture Mewtwo, go to the Southern Islands, climb the Sky Tower, travel the Distortion World to capture my Giratina, and then face N. It strikes me as a game where there would actually be a challenge and a TON more replay value. There would be extra points if there were no event legendaries, but instead every legend was in the game, waiting to be discovered.

I definetly agree!!!!! I would absolutely love it if such a game would come out!!! I would spend every single penny i had to buy it because it would definetly be worth the cost. I have dreamed that dream many times over… And maybe there could be planes or something that you fly to get between the worlds??? Naveen: I was wondering if there was anybody who dreamed like me. Let me just point out that it would have to be for the wii as Nintendo is probably too cheap to fit ALL that data onto a 3DS or DSI “chip”. Only a dvd-rom would be able to store that much data (thats a guess because SD cards now a days can store more than 8 gigs of data-dvd’s store 8- but i dont know what kind nintendo uses

I have been playing pokemon ever since the first generation and out of all the generations I believe that Gamefreak has done a wonderful job. I mean sure they could’ve done better with the names in BW like woobat (zoobat)? I mean come on! I can tell which pokemon replaced which in BW, that is the main thing that upset me there wasn’t much of a difference. I actually enjoyed the storyline though, it was quite interesting. And now all I do is beat the Elite Four over and over and over… and over.. But other than that, I am a huge pokemon fan and I have enjoyed playing each and every generation. God bless

Okay, I understand that everyone has different viewpoints on every Pokemon title, but I think you were way out of line by saying that Pokemon Battle Revolution was “the worst title ever.” I had plenty of fun battling the Trainers, and, in addition, I thought it was interesting that I was allowed the option to customize a Trainer’s apparel, make unique catchphrases, and even change the title. Yes, I think there should have been more features added, but in all fairness, this is Game Freak’s first Pokemon title featured on the Wii.

The moves being distrusted this time are Yawn and Superpower. Ok so apperently, even though i’ve been playing since Gen 3 (first pokemon game was Ruby) I dont want Grey? Maybe i do want grey, I loved the Unova regions story and characters. And you guys have to remember its like making Red and Blue all over again. I didnt like all of the pokemon but the ones i did I loved. The legendarys had amazing stats and moves while the graphics are amazing. And yes, i still remember feeling so proud on Christmas morning when my Torchic leveled up and learned its first new move. (focus energy)

What I really want the Pokemon Company to do is make a Yellow remake for DS. That would be really awesome. And I am sure most people would agree. The 1st generation was the best for me, and to make a DS version with better graphics would make it 10x better.

The third generation was my favorite but for a different reason I wasnt a huge fan of the story don’t get me wrong it was good but not my favorite. I like it the best because it was deffinately the turning point of pokemon.Such as how in your party instead of seeing little sprites that didn’t even look like the pokemon well third generation introduced that. Also the graphics were greatly advanced I’m not usually a graphics whore but it was deffinately awesome. The only thing I didn’t really like too much is how they made it hell just to get the Reji’s when their not too good of pokemon except for Rejice’s Sheer cold which if you had Saphire or Emerald Kyorgre also learns it. (I know there are other pokemon that can learn it but those were just a couple of examples).
This is just my opinion and you can have yours just don’t be a jackass about it and say my opinion sucks or anyone else’s because its a OPINION (what you think).

The only pokemon I really liked out of Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald were Kyogre (Kyogre is the best!), Groudon, Rayquaza, and Jirachi (Second favorite in my opinion). Torchic was cute, but I always disliked the way that Combusken looked, and Blazikien was okay but not one I particularly liked.(I just think the whole chicken thing is weird.) HeartGold and SoulSilver, however, are my favorite pokemon games of all time. I loved the walking with your pokemon ability, the ability to go from Johto to Kanto, and that you could capture the ledgendaries in Johto as well as Kanto too. This is just my opinion, but I think HeartGold and SoulSilver blow Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald out of the water.

R/S/E was my CHILDHOOD. I was seven when they came out; that was the first I knew of Pokemon, and my child-brain thought it a miraculous godsend. Oh my word, I can’t even contain my excitement about a R/S/E remake. And to anyone who says those were the worst games, normally, I’d be all, “I hate you,” but I’m going to be mature and say that I can respect your opinion.
I thought Black and White were amazing, and 5th gen has become my second favorite, but my opinion isn’t fully formed since I haven’t actually played the original Red or Blue games. Once again, I can understand completely if you disagree. But, I’m going to be fervently anticipating the release of an R/S/E remake from this moment on.

epic fail? i have to half agree.. becuase the in the game the storyline was exstrem and well epic.. the pokemon (i love Victini.. and some others.) but the graphics were a bit better.. only if you could walk with your pokemon and make your trainer look how you want him/her to look that would be fun.. and just have all of the game in one! then transfer your trainer to then new 2014 6th gen game… or when ever it comes out.. <3 love pokemon!!

I honestly think emerald, ruby, and sapphire were the best out of all the generations. I like the story line of the series. But I think they might let out ruby and sapphire the later let out emerald because that’s what they did before. I want that to happen because I would have to save a lot of money for all three games when I could buy ruby and sapphire and then be able to save my money for emerald. you now what would be really awesome… like in the shows or the manga you can attack out of turn and be able to carefully layout traps. like purposlly miss a stringshot and create a tripwire behind them then when theyre on the ground be able to finish them off. you shold also be able to lock attacks. say your opponent uses hyper beam. you should be given a 5 sec window to cpunter with some other ranged move. then the players will have todo certain things before the other one can and then he wins the lock. ughhhhhhhhh… i talk to much. but… you cant hold back ones will. thats why we got the freedom of speech.

my best bet is that the 6th generation games will feture a whole new region we havent seen yet. Like, they should just like,after you complete that region (6th gen) you travel to all the other regions (5th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st gen) to get the pokemon native there. If that’s not possible, then all the pokemon from all generations will be in the the tall grass in the 6th generation region.
